version notes

• little icons instead of words: the row of buttons is now five small emoji doors, with the garden in the middle.
• the header is half the size it was, one low line across the top, so the pages underneath get more room.
• the garden is front and center: it opens first, and its left column is back, mirrored in through a little same-origin twin.
• the sky photograph has been retired. plain bright light now, easy to read, and much lighter to load.
• the home card has been retired too. this version button is where the notes and the smaller doors moved.

what keeps it light

• One HTML file: no frameworks, no build step, no bundler.
• The sky photograph is gone, so the page is tiny again: just this markup and one font.
• One font family from Google Fonts, the only third party here. If your device already has Comic Sans MS, its letterforms are used without fetching any font file.
• The little sites load only when you first open their door, and stay loaded so switching back is instant.
• No analytics, no trackers, and no cookies from this page itself. german and piano bring their own little password cookie along inside their frames.
